About the area

Lake Raynagua, loacted to the South of Loxley, is a reservoir which is an excellent location for fishing. The annual Baldwin County Strawberry festival is held each April at Loxley Municipal Park to benefit the Association of Retarded Citizens of Baldwin County and the Loxley Elementary School. The date of this date allows it to occur at peak harvest time for Baldwin County grown berries. Features at this festival include over 160 arts and craft exhibitors, food vendors, an exciting carnival, children's games, antique auto show, animal riding and petting exhibits and live music. When you go to this festival do not forget to try the dessert of choice, strawberry shortcake .
