About the area |
Originally inhabited by the Choctaw Indians until the first settlers came in the early 1800's to the area which was eventually named for the large grove of oak trees on the plateau occupied by the city. Grove Hill provides for the recreational needs of its citizens in the S.P. Hudson Park and Recreation Facility which has ball fields, a walking trail, a basketball court, a playground, a lighted pavilion, restrooms, a practice batting cage and two concession stands. |
