Located within the Jackson Links Golf course of the HW Pearce, Jr. Memorial Park is a unique rercreational facility; the over 430 feet long and over 100 feet wide swimming pool, the largest pool in the South. This pool with water depths ranging from six inches to fifteen feet; has three piers, two diving boards, two slides, and several large inflatable's. The park also has, in addition to picnic and playground areas, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, ping pong tables, tennis courts, and a bath house with showers. The nearby Fred T. Stimpson Wildlife Sanctuary, located to the South of Jackson,
covers over 5000 acres and is home to close to 300 deer, a large wild turkey population, bobcat, coyote, fox, rabbit, dove, and quall. Don't think of hunting here; there is just no hunting of any kind allowed.
