The only two major roads in Repton, US 84, running along the Northern border, and SR 41, meet in the Northern part of town.

About the area

Repton used to be a busy, thriving little railroad town with several banks, hotels, stores, livery stable, cotton gin and the only hospital between Selma & Pensacola. As the railroads gave way to trucking, Repton lost most of its business and lost its high school which was consolidated with another nearby high school. The reult was was a decline of the town into a literal ghost town. However, the Repton Restoration Society has been formed to attempt to restore, preserve and uphold for future generations, the spirit of Repton, its history and its community and in so doing breathe new life into the town..
