About the area |
The annual UFO Days festival, held in August, attracts people from all over the country and as far away as Canada. This event celebrates the townâs famous history when Unidentified Flying Objects were sighted over the town by citizens in the area. The main feature of the festivities are the Hot Air Balloons providing hour long rides across the Sand Mountain area in these lighter-than-air aircraft. There are vendors and lots of entertainment provided by talented local musicians and special guests. |
