Fayette Country Club, located to the West of town near Cedar Hill, has a 9 hole regulation length golf course, tennis, swimming, and an attractive clubhouse. The Fayette Art Museum was founded in the late 1960's with a gift of 110 pieces of art from a Fayette native and artist. It now possesses over 4000 pieces in the permanent art collection. Each September the Fayette Arts Festival is held at the Guthrie Smith Park. It is a juried arts and crafts show with cash prizes In addition there are free art lessons and activities for children as well as live entertainment throughout the day. A series of concerts and performances are presented by the Fayette Arts Council each year at the 365 seat Fayette Civic Center Auditorium.
