About the area

The Fayette Civic Center, formerly the Fayette Grammar School was built in the 1930's but later abandoned as a school. Its Auditorium now includes stage, stage lighting, sound system, screen and projector and seating for over 360 people. The facilities include Dining rooms a conference room and a meeting room. A large wall space in the building is is used to exhibit over 500 pieces of art work from the city’s permanent collection which numbers over 4000. The city is fortunate to have a local theatrical company, Dogwood Productions, that performs two major productions each year.
