About the area |
Although other cities have their senior centers; the Scottsboro-Jackson County Senior Center Council on Aging facility, located at the Jackson County Park, has breathtaking views of the Roseberry Creek area of Lake Guntersville. The Scottsboro Civic Center, located at the city owned Goosepond Colony Resort Complex on the beautiful lake district of the Tennessee River, has close to 17,000 square feet which can accomodate almost600 people for formal dining. The center is also equipped with a center stage to accommodate concert performances or cultural events.
