About the area |
The major portion of Guntersville is located on a peninsula in Lake Guntersville. Marshall County park is located to the North of the city and can be reached by the George S. Houston (SR 79/US 431) parkway across the water. Continuing on this highway will bring you to Guntersville municipal airport and Gunter's Landing golf club in the North. In what was once the historic rock Armory; the Guntersville Museum & Cultural Center has found a new home where it can display its artifacts representative of Native American and Civil War history. |
