This city, which sits on the border with Marengo, does not sit still; its downtown has recently undergone a revitalization to reawaken business and bring the people back to the center of the city. This in a city which saw its first settlers in the early part of the 19th century and whose Historic District has a variety of building with mid-to-late 19th and early 20th century architectural styles.
