About the area
Two wonderful community oriented events take place every year in Brundidge. The Butter Peanut festival starts off with the Nutter Butter Parade in which local bands and groups take part. This is a harvest and heritage celebration at which residents can enjoy the 5K peanut butter run, peanut butter recipe contest, non-stop entertainment, old-timey demonstrations, farming exhibits, antique tractors and arts and crafts. The Independence Day parade is usually led by the Fort Rucker Army Band or other military band and the high school band as well as having the Pride of Pike Marching Band at the midpoint providing marching music throughout the parade. The parade is also graced by beauty queens from throughout the area.
