Vincent is unusual in that it lies in three counties; Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega. You might think the city is named for someone named Vincent; and indeed it is. Early in the 1800's a large area of land was a grant by the Governor to the family of one of the early settlers to the area. The patriarch of the family left the land to his three daughters one of whom was Mrs. Anna Vincent |
