About the area |
Pell City, founded jst before the turn of the 20th century, has a population of over 16,000. Its residents enjoy over 275 miles of shoreline on Logan Martin Lake. The Civic Center has a gym and walking track and holds classes in square dancing, aerobics for all ages, karate and arts and crafts. The grounds of the center are the site for a picnic area, playground for children, walking trail, fishing and boat launch. Another entertainment venue in the city; the Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts holds a 2000 seat sports arena and a 400 seat state of the art theater.
