Jefferson State Community College has a campus in Pell City. This school offers more than 120 University Transfer Programs, 40 Career Programs and numerous Certificate Programs in addition to customized workforce training, training for business and industry, GED programs, adult education, remedial education, workforce readiness training, and programs to assist dislocated workers. There are two excellent sites for golfers here. The 18-hole course at the Pine Harbor Golf & Racquet Club has about 6,200 yards of golf and the 18-hole "Pell City" course at the Pell City Country Club facility also has about 6200 yards of golf.
