About the area |
Although the city covers an area of 6.5 square miles; there are only just over 1,200 people living here. Not very crowded. The Horse Pens 40 park with its museum exhibiting Native American and Civil War artifacts, six miles of hiking trails and a campground is locate only a short 3 miles away. Alabama International Dragway is located just to the Southeast of main street and has vendor booths in addition to a lusty schedule of drag racing. Keeps it off the main roads.
