There are numerous examples of antebellum homes and buildings in Camden, Among these are the Beck-Creswell Home, the Beck-Darwin-Jones Home, the Burford-Malone Home and the Bethea-Strother-Stewart Home. The latter, a federal style house, is the only brick antebellum home in Wilcox County and is registered on the National Historic Register. It was built in the early 1830's.
