Berryville has some very nice city parks. Three of them, Berryville Square, George Pond and Berryville RV, offer residents and visitors a place to relax with fountains, gazebos, picnic benches, open gathering places, a fish pond and RV sites. Other parks providing recreational facilities are Luther Owens park with its shooting range; Pioneer park with a log cabin containing cells from the old jail, an authentic mountain cabin and a building containing old presses and other newspaper equipment; City Pool park; Thomas park and A.L. Carter ballpark. Saunders Heights has room to picnic and enjoy a panoramic view of Berryville and the surrounding area. A recent addition is the city owned Pension Mountain trail, to the South of the city, where you can hike,ride your ATV, bike or horse-.
