Alma District Court

Alma District Court is among the state district courts in Crawford county. IS 40 runs across Alma and intersects IS 540 which crosses a small Western portion of the town in addition to which US 64, US 64 Business, US 71 and SR 162 can also be found in town.

In a city that proclaims itself "Spinach Capital of the World" you would expect to and will see a statue of Popeye with a can of spinach in his hand sitting in a prominent place, the center of a former vacant lot-turned public park at one end of Fayetville avenue. The Alma Aquatic center is a very large outdoor water park complex located in Alma City park. In addition to 8 slides, a diving board, 3 swimming pools, a covered wading pool and a water play area; there are picnic areas, playgrounds, pavilions and walking trails in this facility. For the hungry swimmers there is the "Snack Shack" offering such goodies as pizza, pretzels, slushies and other favored snacks. For a relaxing day try visiting the Lake Alma Wildlife Observation trail and park. The park has a paved and handicap accessible trail, a handicap accessible fishing pier, 18 hole disc golf course, picnic area, restrooms and access to the Lake Alma hiking trail system. The Alma Performing Arts center on Main street plays host to dramatic and musical production, concerts, ballet performances and ice shows. A giant Airedale statue, emblematic of the mascot of Alma High school, stands in front of the center.
