About the area
There are two attractions in Hope visitors would probably be interested in seeing. This town seems to turn out governors, Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee. One of them, of course, went on to become president of the United States. The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home has been restored and is a National Historic Site. It's a two-story white frame house where Clinton lived until age four. The old Missouri-Pacific Railroad depot, circa 1912, has been restored and now houses the Hope visitor center and museum. It also is an active Amtrak stop. The museums exhibits consists of railroad memorabilia, photographs depicting the history of the area and displays from the life of former President Bill Clinton.
