About the area

At one time a major contributor to Nashville's economy was the peach trade. However, now cattle and chicken farming form the backbone of the city's financial sustenance. A visit to the Southwest Arkansas Super speedway, on Highway 27 North, will provide some exciting moments with pure and street stocks, modifieds, sportsman and bombers racing on the three-eighths mile banked clay oval. For some fun, come to the annual Dinosaur festival held in Nashville City park at the end of May. The event has a Amateur Softball Association of America tournament Dino Dig, Dino Art Mural, a fishing derby, Bam-Bam and Pebbles look-a-like contest, live musical entertainment, movie in the park and inflatable rides. Don't forget to have your picture taken with "Trax the Dinosaur."
