Withrow Springs State park is located a short distance to the North of Huntsville. War Eagle creek runs through the park and is a favorite spot for canoers and floaters. If you don't have a canoe or kayak, you can rent one in the park. Swimming is also an option at the park's swimming pool. There are campsites in this park with water, up to 50 amp service and sewer hookups which can accommodate either an RV and/or a tent. There are catfish, bream, perch and bass for those who want to fish and you might also catch a glimpse of the Deer, foxes, wild turkeys, groundhogs, bobcats, wood ducks and river otters who appear from time to time.
