Mena Circuit Court is more formally known as the Eighteenth West Circuit Court of Polk county in the Arkansas Judicial Circuit court system. It is conveniently located in the same building as the Mena County court.

About the area

The annual Lum & Abner festival held in June at Janssen park is a fun filled event. It all started as a celebration of the Lum & Abner radio show which was created by Chester, "Chet" Lauck (Lum Eddards) and Norris "Tuffy" Goff (Abner Peabody) who began their careers as young amateur performers in Mena, where they grew up together. The festival leads off with a parade and then proceeds to the other activities such as the live entertainment, baby crawlin' contest, fire fighters' challenge and barbecue cook-off. Live reenactments of the radio show are held at the Ouachita Little Theater. As a part of the festival there is the Lum & Abner Car show.
