Forrest City District Court is one of the state district courts of St. Francis county. US 40 passes through the Northern part of Forrest City and intersects Sr 1 Business. US 70 crosses through the center of town and intersect SR 1 Business as well as SR 72 in the Southwest part of town. SR 334 enters town from the East.

| About the area |
A Confederate general was interested in the area around Crowley's Ridge during the Civil War. When the war ended, he was successful in convincing the railroad companies in Memphis and Little Rock to cut through the ridge and linking the two cities by rail. Around 1868 the first trains came through and the city was established. First known as Forrest's "camp", for the general, it was incorporated around 1870 as Forrest City and now has a population of over 15,000. The residents in this town have plenty of places to enjoy the outdoors. There are seven parks. They are South Side, Forrest Hills, Lake Street, Lincoln, Beech Grove, Civic Center and Stewart Springs which together provide playgrounds, picnic pavilions, basketball goals, a swimming pool, a ballfield and tennis courts.
