Mountain View Circuit Court

Mountain View Circuit Court is also known as the Sixteenth Circuit Court of Stone county in the Arkansas Judicial Circuit court system. It has the same clerk, mailing address, phone number, fax number and is located in the same building as the Stone County court.

Since Mountain View is known for its preservation of folkways and traditional music; it's not surprising that the annual Arkansas Folk Festival is held here at Ozark Folk Center State park. The Ozark Folk center is also the scene of traditional craft demonstrations, live music performances, living histories, apprentice programs and workshops intended to preserve and relate the story of this mountain culture. Local musicians and guest performers appear here to perform ballads, fiddle tunes, square and jig dances, as well as autoharp, mountain and hammered dulcimer melodies. At the crafts village you can see demonstrations of basketry, blacksmithing, candle making, broom, jewelry, and doll making, pottery, quilting, spinning, weaving, wood carving as well as other crafts of this area.
