Springdale has several parks to serve the recreational needs of its residents including the Tyson Sports complex and the aquatic center with really nice pools and slides. Five of the parks have picnic pavilions. The city's Youth center is a splendid place. It has a huge gymnasium, volleyball court, dance practice hall, billiards room and gymnastics hall. Arvest Ballpark, owned by the City of Springdale, is the home field for the the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, a AA baseball team in the Texas League. There is also a skating rink in Roller City and and an ice skating rink, Joel Carver Ice Arena in the Jones Center. The Jones Center for Families is a facility occupying close to 220,000 square feet in which you can find classrooms, a conference center, a computer center, chapel and auditorium, party rooms, an indoor ice skating rink, two indoor swimming pools, a gym, fitness center and food court.
