Fort Bowie is the most visited and the best attraction of Bowie. It was built to commemorate the war between the Apache Indians and the United States Military. It was a bitter fight were hundreds of lives were lost. A monument is built in the desert to award the bravery of the soldiers. This site is not just any war ground but a remarkable battle between a young country that was trying to establish its boundaries and a hunting tribe trying to preserve its history and identity. |
