The Apache trail passes from here and the Apache Indians once claims that it was hardest stretch of the desert to cross. Theodore Roosevelt recreation area is located here. Globe got its name because globe shaped silver was found in the Desert once and that is how silver mining began. Silver plays a large role in the cityâs economy. |
