Marana Municipal Court is now somewhat famous for having had Jared Lee Loughner on a minor charge. News reports indicate his case was dismissed after he went through a "diversion program." Such programs are supposed to involve counseling. It is unclear at this writing what the diversion program did for Loughner, but apparently it was not enough. |

There is no dearth for shopping malls and entertainment zones in the city. However Marana has a rich cultural history. It is also located between two of the busiest cities of Arizona.
