About the area |
Alameda is the beach city, not that there is plenty of ocean beach here but you will find everyone in the city at the beach by evening. Also the annual Sand Castle and Sand Sculpture contest is held on the beaches here. This is its specialty and you find some thousands of people participating in it right from small kids to grown up adults. It is amazing to find someone put so much effort into something that is going to get washed away. |
