About the area |
Visit the Imperial Sand dunes which is just 40 miles from Brawley and is one of a kind desert experience. The only thing is you can get out of this desert real quick if you want! It is a huge stretch of 40 miles of dunes and the only way to see it is by walking. There are roads inside the park but only to a certain extent. The Sonny Bono Wildlife refugee center is a sort of zoo but it is a refugee center for animals. They are free to roam here. Granfolklorico De Mexico is a Mexican dance performance which takes place in downtown Brawley. Catch them in Palmer Performing arts center. If you are in this city in October do not miss the Red Ribbon Parade. They're also a fascination with western-style things - you know, cowboys, cattle, horses and all that. Maybe you can find yourself a rodeo or two. Visit the Salton Sea for a parched water experience. |
