Corcoran is famous for the penitentiary where the famous criminal Charles Manson is still held. This high security prison also is home to a few celebrity felons. Being a small city it has its advantages. It still forms a considerably large amount of San Joaquin Valley. It has several public parks for entertainment for the local residents.
