Pomona is actually the name of the Roman Goddess of fruit. It is located on the edge of the Pomona valley and is very scenic. It is known for its diverse culture and also has some upscale housing in the valley. The City has many parks which offer plenty of recreational activities. There are also many raisin farms, wineries and vineyards which flourish in its soil. Many people visit this city for a wine tasting tour.
