About the area |
San Pedro is a beautiful peninsula which is surrounded by water on three sides and harbors, though some parts may not be as attractive due to the heavy shipping traffic. The evenings are lit up and it is like walking through a star lit city. Starting with the light house there are plenty of parks, beach parks for recreation and camping. A lot of cruises start from these shores in California because it is one of the deepest ports. Ports O Call is a New England style village and revisits the old English culture here. The Red Car Trolley Ride is a one and a half hour enjoyable trolley ride which takes you through many museums, statues, and the huge ships on the harbor back to the Cabrillo beach. For just a $1 it is not bad at all! |
