About the area |
Santa Ana is a mix of art and culture and this becomes evident when you visit the Bowers Museum of cultural art which is located on the North Main Street. You can witness some of the cultural expertise from China, Egypt and Tibet in this museum. And further down on the Main Street is the Discovery Museum for Kids; it is an interactive science center. In the same area is the Arts Village which cannot be written about. One has to see it to know it. This village is unison of 100 or more art galleries and hundreds of artists displaying their work. For food there are Memphis style restaurants and Bohemian bistros. You can take your pick! Art and culture are a journey by themselves and in this journey one thing leads to another and you never know what treasures you might unravel. An extremely populated city of the bay area and located just 15 miles inwards from the coast and on the banks of the Santa Ana River. The city is also home to many famous businesses like Ingram Micro, Wahoo's Fish Taco and Behr Paints. The SAZoo or the Santa Ana Zoo located in the Prentis Park is a nice place to visit. It seems to be the only attraction here other than the small downtown with a small business district within. Orange County is synonymous to rich and famous. Everything you see or visit here looks expensive and being in this county you do get a lot of small boutiques to shop. No retail therapy here! You can do everything here like fine dining, best wine, great experiences and sigh seeing. Don't ever get into real estate shopping though! |
