About the area |
Visit the Ano Nuevo State Reserve while you are in San Mateo County. It is a worthwhile trip, but quite a drive from this location. You will discover many things for yourself about nature and the delicate balance it has with humans. The biggest attraction is the elephant seals, but there's plenty more. By contrast, it's a short walk to a bayside park and the local golf course. Seeing many orchids grown in a farm is a much different experience compared to admiring one orchid in a vase. Check out the Acres of Orchids in San Mateo and you will know what we are talking about. Also visit the Japanese tea garden in Central Park. Skyline Drive is also a nice ride, with views of the Bay, the Ocean, and Redwood trees too. But watch out for the Cardinal! |
