About the area

Downieville is actually a small Ville. It stretches for only about 5 or six blocks. But do not under estimate the small size as it is packaged with a lot for visitors. Why? Because it is located right in the middle of Tahoe National Forest and is an epicenter of endless amount of trails, biking trails, horse trails, walking trails and just trails. The whole forest is yours to explore literally when you visit the city. Most bikers have a lot of fun on the Downieville Downhill and they race their bikes down from the top. Donâ€™t try it the other way around!!
