About the area |
The incident called the Sand Creek Massacre took place in Southeast of Colorado and very close to Eads. This place has been converted into a historical civil war preserve and is the newest addition to the park. Artifacts of the civil war and those that aged back from 1864 have been preserved. The site has also been dedicated to the Cheyenne and the Arapahoe victims. |
