About the area |
Leadville was the epicenter of the silver mining boom in the 1880âs. It is located right at the top of the Colorado Mountains and today here stands the National Mining Hall of fame. Several men and women contributed to the mining boom and the prosperity of the city back then. So you can actually see how mining was done and silver was extracted. The surrounding area is full of forests and some nice picnic spots. |
