About the area |
Colorado National Monument is full of spectacular canyons made up of sandstone and granite and varied rock formations. All these put together give a rich color and texture to the rock formations. Also it is a semi desert like area with very less vegetation. At the background you do find juniper and pinion forests in the plateau like landscape. The park is also home to a wide variety of wildlife. |
