Alachua Circuit Court is in the Alachua Courthouse too - that's where the serious crimes are handled. Wal-Mart won a jury verdict in Alachua County in 2008 when they got sued over some employee slashing a woman. They're breathing a sigh of relief. Gainesville Traffic Court may be at 201 E. Gainesville has a fairly large population. Its major claim to fame is as the location for the University of Florida whic is located to the West of the court.. Gatorade was invented in Gainesville. It was selected as one of the 50 best places to live and play by the National Geographics Adventure magazine. Its Downtown Community Plaza is the site of the Free Friday Plaza series of concerts with different musical groups appearing. It is on the Forbes list of Smartest Cities.
