Followers of the Sri Shirdi Sai religion need not feel alone in this land of the citrus fruits. A temple devoted to Shirdi Sai Baba is located in Inverness. Would you believe Inverness was once called Tompkinsville. But don't worry the Scottish influence is well represented by the Inverness Golf Course and County club. The course is an 18-hole layout nestled in a setting of large oak trees, pines, palms and a few cedars that can get you into trouble if you are a hooker or a slicer. The club also has a club house with restaurant and lounge, pro shop, swimming pool, lighted tennis courts, driving range and practice putting green.
