Two small bodies of water in or near Holmes County provide areas for recreational activities. For those still seeking the Fountain of Youth; the springs of Ponce De Leon Springs State Park, several miles to the Southeast, are the place to go. The crystal clear waters from the natural springs feed a large body of water open to swimming.
Pranksters tried to rename the park Pants De Leon but were stopped dead in their tracks by locals. The story has been grossly overreported.
