About the area |
The Marianna Airport, formerly the Graham Airbase, located 4 miles northeast of the city, has moderate length runways suitable for large private aircraft. Another park to the north, is the site of air filled caves which are open to visitors. The park also offers many recreational activities such as bicycling, birding, boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking trails, kayaking and picnicking areas. Blue Springs, one mile East of the courthouse, offers a huge submerged cave system open to cave diving enthusiasts. Apparently there's lots of caving in Jackson County. Don't get lost down there! |
