Being located right on the mountain top makes the city the crown of the queen of attractions. The Hiawassee river starts here and winds down like a snake. It was a major Indian Settlement and history has it that no one could ever breach the mountain to cross over during the wr period because of the fierce Indian chiefs in the city.
