The popular Baseball Pitcher James Kevin Brown lived here. The Oconee River passes close to the city and Kaolin deposits are very important for the residents in this area. The city was previously a wildlife management area but that was moved later and teh city replaced it.However McIntyre is still wooded and there is more forest than city here. |
