Leon District Court is the district court of Decatur county and is in the Fifth judicial district of Iowa. IS 35 runs parallel to US 69 on part of its journey through Decatur county and crosses SR 2 while Us 69 meets it. |

About the area |
This is a jolly place to live; even their Fourth of July celebration is over a four day period including the annual Leon rodeo. On the West side of the city there is a great place to relax, the Little River Recreation area covering over 2,000 acres recreation area with more than 100 modern and primitive campsites and several family cabins for rental. Little River lake is known to have large mouth bass, bluegill, crappie, muskie, walleye and catfish. Another great spot for outdoor vacationing is nearby Nine Eagles State park with three campgrounds and areas where you can picnic, camp, hike, ride a horse, swimming and fishing. Close to nine miles of trails will give you plenty of walking room and the lake here is another great fishing spot with bass, northern pike, tiger muskie, channel catfish, bluegill and crappie in abundance. |
