Iowa city is a city bubbling over with activity and offers many venues for entertainment. There is the city's Jazz festival in July, the annual Iowa Arts festival, the Riverside open air theater, Englert theater and the Iowa City Community theater. To top it all all off there is the Hancher Auditorium of the University of Iowa, which calls Iowa City home, where you can see Broadway productions. To enjoy the great outdoors the city has over forty parks and a short distance North of the city you can find he Coralville reservoir. Here there is a body of water close to 5,000 acres in size where folks can engage in boating, fishing, swimming, and water-skiing and the surrounding area has plenty of hiking, biking and cross-country skiing trails. |
