Rock Rapids District Court is the district court of Lyon county in the Third judicial district of Iowa. SR 9 crosses US 75 in the middle of the county and meets SR 182 in the Western part of the county. |

About the area |
Lyon county is at the Northwest corner of Iowa. The Sidewalk Chalk Contest is one of the things attendees look forward to at the annual Rock Rapids Heritage Days celebration in June. Another is Dadâs Belgian Waffles at the opening community breakfast held in the Forster Community center. During this event River Valley Players present their review at the Forster Auditorium and Saturday night there is the street dance held downtown. Rock Rapids may well be called the "City of Murals" There are a host of murals throughout the city, on buildings and panels, which depict different events, personalities and places in the history of this city and the United States. Lyon County Historical Society Museum complex includes a renovated former Rock Island Depot, caboose, livery stable, windmill and Victorian house which has been completely renovated and furnished. |
