Serving as the district court of Plymouth county and located in the Third judicial district of Iowa is the LeMars District Court. US 75, SR 3, SR 60 and SR 140 will to most of the major places in Plymouth county.

About the area

Wow, this is the place for kids and for a lot of adults too. It's the home of Blue Bunny ice cream and the company making it has been turning out more of it than any single company in any other city in the world. No wonder then that the city has been designated as "The Ice Cream Capital of the World". You can take your ice cream to one of the outdoor Summer concerts or outdoor movie series or any of the other events such as the Kid Kar Racing, simulated hunting video experiences, square dancing, the Madonarri Chalk Art Festival at the Olson Cultural Event center. Of course you don't have to bring this delight to the Le Mars Ice Cream Days festival in June where they will be giving out truckloads of the stuff. Good dessert to follow the eating at the Grill ‘n’ Chill Rib Rally which is held at this festival. Relief from all this hoopla can be had by a visit to the Plymouth County Historical museum or attending a production of the Le Mars Community theater or one of the Le Mars Municipal band's Summer concerts.
