The northern limit of this territory is provided by Richland County land, while the southeastern one is represented by the territories of Gibson County in Indiana State along with White County. Edwards County was established during the second decade of the 19th century with a total area of 223 square miles of territory, residence today of more than 6950 people; generating a population density of approximately 30 people per square mile.
